New Touch Industries (NTi) is a leading steel fabrication company based in Bayswater, delivering precision laser cutting, bending, welding and fabrication services across a range of metals including aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and brass.
We are seeking an experienced, fit and reliable hands-on Production Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of our production team. The Production Manager will be a key figure in overseeing the entire production process, from raw materials to finished product, as well as assisting sales with quotations and support.
About the role:
- Lead, supervise and co-ordinate the daily tasks of the production team
- Provide hands on guidance and training to the team, ensuring adherence to company standards and quality requirements
- Ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently
- Review production schedules, assign tasks to team members and ensure that deadlines are being met
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless project flow
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Hold Tertiary qualifications relating to Manufacturing, Production or similar areas
- Strong knowledge of Production processes, interpreting technical drawings and quality control
- Proven experience with manufacturing equipment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Have a good level of fitness as the nature of the role is physical
- You must be punctual and reliable
- Have a high attention to detail and strong communication skills
